::I highly recommend the PSC as the first stop for learning local customs and activities early on! I arrived from Kosrae on a sailboat and into the marina where the Pohnpei Surf Club is located. Miss Valentina and Mr. Allois greeted me as if we'd been friends before and they were very helpful and kind to me and my fellow island friends when we went to ask some questions about diving, Nan Madol, and surrounding areas to be sure I behaved in a culturally appropriate manner. I appreciated that they didn't approach me like a customer, but instead as friends, so I did not feel pressured to purchase anything. They certainly live in the island spirit, which is to help whenever possible. I am impressed with both of them because as foreigners they learned the Pohnpeian custom very well and gave good advice! They are excellent expats because they understand Pohnpeian custom and speak very highly of the local Pohnpeian people and residents from other islands. They even knew the proper respects to be paid to Nan Madol and some history of the relationships associated with Nan Madol. They also shared about how to get to Nan Madol and I learned why it is divided into three stops for payment that total to a nominal $7. It is the total but paid in the amount of $4, $2 and $1 at different spots due to land ownership. While a UNESCO world heritage site, the Pohnpian Nanmwarki traditional leadership continues today and thus the UNESCO site is protected according to custom so approach this site with that in mind and not your typical UNESCO-pay-one-fee-owned-by-the-government site.

::We didn't like the staff of Pohnpei surf club. Valentina showed herself to be very disrespectful to local people, being very condescending and talking bad about them, how they are ignorant about their own place and are so lazy and slow. She also provided bad informations because she thought she knew better than them, which turned out to not be true.

::Great staff and service. Pohnpei Surf Club is a full service dive, surf and land tour operator. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and they are very knowledgeable. Pohnpei is an unspoilt paradise and PSC will get you to all the best places.

::My wife and I stayed at Pohnpei Surf Camp twice over two seasons. Friendliest local staff all the way from boat hands to secretaries. Allois and Valentina took us fishing, surfing, and on even sunset cruises when the surf wasn’t good. Allois took us out to the best food options. He also managed to secure us a tour of Nan Madol as well as seeing some waterfalls. Our last day we did a tour of Ahnt Atoll. We did some snorkeling and chilling. We had a BBQ and the island to ourselves. It was unreal. The surf was great both seasons. We stayed in the late winter early spring both times and scored. Swells started out small and grew larger until it was head high. Surf guides gave me all the information I needed and were very professional. The winds were perfect and the water was straight glass more days than not. The boat always had the best vibe. Everyone was sharing shacks all day. I’ve surfed all around the world and his place had the mellowest crowd for the quality of surf, hands down. The rooms at Mangrove Were first class . They were overlooking the water and Sokehs Ridge. Sunsets were to die for right from the room. The sushi was right there and the bar always had cold cheap beers just footsteps from my room. Everyone in the water was super friendly and I even managed to get some great barrel pictures. I highly recommend going here to anyone looking for something different. The best wave I have ever surfed with the best and most fun crew. Khalanghan

::Travelled here with my son multiple times and by far the best group of people taking care of us and getting us some of the best waves of our lives. Photos do not do this place justice its is the most amazing reef and rainforest you have ever seen and the service by the staff is top notch . We will return again
